The Dzogchen Meditation Center presents: "The Heart of the Matter"
Join us for a four day Meditation retreat June 13th through 16th
Shamatha /Vipashayana or mindfulness and awareness practice forms the heart essence of all meditation practices available in the Buddhist tradition. The Buddhist practice of sitting meditation allows us to look directly at our minds. Until we clearly see our confusion and sanity beyond our habitual way of thinking we have no way to engage the Buddhadharma. The sitting practice of meditation involves sitting still with bare attention to our body, breath and mental activity. This practice allows our habitual manipulation of what arises in awareness to fall apart. Slowly we wear out hope and fear, acceptance and rejection until we recognize Natural Awareness-- the essential nature of our mind.
This will be a residential retreat held at our Center in West Bath.
There are no prerequisites but people should be aware that this is an intensive retreat please refer to our "retreat guidelines" on our website.
Cost: We charge a basic fee of $40.00 per day for all of our retreats this is to cover our costs. Students may then make a donation to the Center on top of this fee if they choose. WWW.DZOGCHENMEDITATION.COM
