Meghan Nathanson will be leading an 8-week, weekly gathering of women in their Journey Toward Mindful Mothering beginning Tuesday, January 15, 2013 through Tuesday, March 5, 2013. The group will meet from 7:15pm – 8:45pm at Jai Yoga in Brunswick, ME and is open to all mothers interested in bringing more meaning into their relationships with their children and more peace into their lives. The energy and sharing of this group will always be kind, never judgmental, and never preachy. We will simply meet each other where we are.

Promoting a Culture of Safety and Tolerance in our Community.
What we can do to prevent violence and foster understanding
On Thursday January 31 at 6:30pm, TARP, the Tolerance and Respect Project of Freeport Community Services, and State Representative Sara Gideon are co-sponsoring a conversation with an expert panel in wake of the Newtown, CT shootings in December. Experts will address mental health issues, gun laws and regulations, school safety, parenting, school climate concerns as well as looking at the burdens of the culture of masculinity. Panelists include: Drew Wing, Executive Director of Boys to Men, Mental Health Professionals from the community, Rebecca Francis from Community Counseling Services and Officer McManus, RSU5’s School Resource Officer, among others.
The Safety & Tolerance Panel Discussion will take place at the Freeport Performing Art Center, 30 Holbrook St. Freeport High School. It is open to the public.
