Freeport Community Library Activities:
Halloween Parade: On Tuesday, October 30th at 10:00am the Freeport Community Library will have a parade lead by Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. Dress up in a costume if you like and join our fun parade.

Sammie Haynes: Tuesday, November 20th at 10:00am in the Freeport Community Library. Join us for a morning of humming, singing, clapping, flapping and dancing with this award winning children’s musician! Free to the public.

Wind Over Wings: November 7th at 6:30pm in the Freeport Community Library Community Room. Experience the wonder of being a few feet away from 4 magnificent birds of prey. Each bird has a unique story that will inspire you with his or her courage and resilience. Free to the public.(10/30)

A generosity of spirit powers BélO’s polished, often urgent, always catchy songs and permeates his onstage presence. Known as Haiti’s outspoken groove innovator, BélO channels his home’s deep and diverse Afro-Caribbean roots with the beat of reggae and the soul of R&B. An award-winning songwriter, his socially conscious lyrics and humanitarian ethos inspire change at home and abroad. Beyond Haiti, BélO has gained international fame in Europe as part of the Paris’ Francophone African music scene. BélO and his five-piece band’s punchy, energetic Ragganga gets audiences on their feet dancing.
At a pre-performance lecture from 6 to 6:45, renowned Haitian storyteller and artist Charlot Lucien will discuss Haiti's rich and complex cultural, historical and social lanscape.
