Basic Anxiety and the Buddhist Path of Meditation and Awakening:
2500 years ago an Indian Prince named Siddhartha Gautama
left his kingdom to pursue a spiritual answer to the question of the meaning of human
life and suffering. What he discovered is as relevant today as it was then. His answer was rooted in uncovering the sacredness inherent in all experience which had become clouded and obscured by patterns of habit and ignorance.
His prescription to end human suffering was the application of shila, samadhi and prajna -- Discipline and Meditative Concentration which gives rise to Prajna -- "transcendent intelligence or Wisdom".

Camp Sew & Sew – A weekly creativity retreat for your busy life! You can begin this week!
Join us for sewing fun in our relaxed, spacious classroom. With natural light and plenty of elbow room you will have no trouble finding your “Creative MoJo” while sharing ideas and friendship with other aspiring sewists. You will find people at the same level you are and others who are just learning to thread their machines! All skill levels are welcome! Rolling enrollment means there is no catching up, just come with a project in mind OR we can help you choose something! Learn to install zippers, how to make buttonholes, why we need to trim corners and how to use all the “notions” that appear to be a mystery to the beginner and much more.
You can find us on Tuesday mornings at Cotton Weeds Quilt Shop across the street from Buck’s Naked BBQ on Rt One (in the plaza)! $85 for 8 sessions (try to use within a 12 week period…but we are flexible), from 9:30am to 12 noon. To sign up call or stop by Cotton Weeds OR call Susan Pennoyer (MWS parent) at 807-1815 (05-24-11)
