Brunswick~The 1st annual Coastal Youth Orchestra 5K and Fun Run, "Go for Baroque...out and Bach", is scheduled to be held on Saturday April 30th in Brunswick. The course is an out and back run and is generally flat and scenic, starting at the intersection of Old Pennellville and Pennellville Roads taking Pennellville Road, right onto Pennell Way, left and out to Simpson's Point Rd. to the end and returns to the start.

The race is being held by the Coastal Youth Orchestra and will benefit the organization's music progams for youth in the area. CYO musicians will be playing music at the start, post race and at each mile marker!

The Coastal Youth Orchestra's mission is to provide the best orchestral experience possible for young musicians. By promoting a supportive educational environment and a challenging, yet nurturing atmosphere, our conductors provide an ideal place for young musicians to learn and grow.

We have learned to put in zippers, how to cut fabric with a rotary cutter and not hurt yourself, how to apply applique and how to make a pillow form, just to name a few things! Two Merriconeag Moms have made some incredibly adorable projects and are on to even more success in the next session. Camp Sew & Sew spring session begins Mar 21st and goes until May 10th! The cost is $85.00 for 8 weeks! Please refer to attached flyer for more information.
