The Dzogchen Buddhist Meditation Center Presents, Discovering Sanity: The Path of Buddhist Meditation:
Saturday, Nov 13, 9 AM -12 Noon & 1- 3 PM
Sunday, Nov 14, 8 AM - 12 Noon
The essence of Buddhist practice is the discovery of the inherent sanity of recognizing
the present moment: the moment before we are carried away by aberrant thoughts. Training in this recognition is called meditation practice, not training in this way is called 'being deluded' because we are constantly carried away by delusional thoughts which we take to be reality. It is only through diligent training in meditation that we break this cycle of following after habitual thought and so glimpse our true awakened nature.
This will be a special weekend seminar which will serve as an introduction to the Buddhist practice of Shamatha meditation. It is open to beginners and to experienced practitioners who would like to deepen their practice through an intensive group practice opportunity.
The seminar is free but we will be offering a vegetarian lunch for participants for $10.00. To register or for more information call 443-3842 or email tashi.armstrong042@gmail.com
