Community Camps
This summer we will be offering two summer camps during the week of June 25 - 29, 9:00 a.m. - noon. If there is enough interest, we will consider offering an afternoon program like we did last year. Two Echo Co-Housing Community, 85 Echo Road, Brunswick, ME 04011 Fun Summer Camp For Kids! The camp includes crafts, outdoor activities, and reading/story time. It is for children ages four to eight. The camp will be put on by Lia Wellen and Gemma McElroy, Merriconeag alumni who will be seniors at Freeport High School next fall. If you love to sew come join the STITCH BY STITCH Summer Camp with Regina Kusche: Fiber Arts Summer Camp for girls in grades 6,7, and 8. Come join us for a fun filled week of rug hooking, needle felting, swimming and farm fun. If you like spending time with friends in a relaxed and fun environment while creating original designs and learning new skills then this camp was made for you. Here's a comment from last year's amazing camp experience:"I can't remember my daughter being so effusive about a camp before. She could hardly wait to tell me about everything she had done and show me the things she made each day. She's still happily creating gifts for friends and even her little brother, You ladies outdid yourselves. Thank you!" We would love to have you come join us for another great week of fiber arts fun! The camp runs form August 13-17, Monday through Friday from 9 to 3. All materials for the week are included along with snacks and lots of fun! There's Still Time to sign up for one (or more) of 317 Main's one-week Summer Camps taking place between July 9 and August 3. The camps combine high-level instruction with a healthy dose of fun and lots of opportunity for group play. Students, ages 7-18, are grouped according to age and ability. Sessions: July 9 - 13, Fiddle Camp; (fiddle, viola, cello, and bass); July 16 - 20, Guitar/ Mandolin/ Banjo/ Bass Camp; and two Band Camps, July 23 - 27 and July 30 - Aug. 3 for all instruments including voice and piano.
