Seeking a tutor/educator who might be willing to move to Marfa, TX for 3-6 mos. this spring: Normally our children (ages 6 and 9) go to the Brooklyn Waldorf School in NY, which we love. This year, we are living in the beautiful high-plains desert town of Marfa, TX. We love being in this tiny cultural mecca in the vast landscape, but have been disappointed by the educational experience.
Home for sale- 99 Webster Rd. Freeport. 3 BR 2.5 bath, approx. 2400 sq ft., 2 car oversized garage with storage and third garage door entry on side, on 3.8 acres. The house is set up to accommodate a future in-law addition with a larger water line, 200 amp service to accommodate a larger electrical load, and a septic system to accommodate a 4th bedroom. Our land abuts conservation land in back and there are trails throughout for snowshoeing, skiing, or hiking. We built our home based on our love of the character and details found in old homes. Perennial beds surround the house, apple, pear, and peach trees have been planted, blueberry bushes and garden spots are in place. We are asking 550K and will be more open to negotiating if we do not have to involve a real estate agent. We will be listing with a real estate agent in the next month or so if we have no serious offers. If you would like to see pictures, like additional information, or to stop in and take a tour, please call Laura at 865-0307 or email me at email@example.com (02/04)

Seeking Housesitting Opportunity in July: We are a Waldorf family (husband and wife - both Waldorf teachers - with two wonderful daughters) from Kansas looking to move to Maine in the not–too–distant future. This summer we are planning to visit the greater Freeport area for a couple of weeks in July, and are looking for a home to stay in (and provide loving care to) while the owners are away on their own summer vacation. We are happy to take care of pets, plants, gardens, etc. Dates flexible. References available upon request. Please email David at email@example.com if interested. (01/28)
Needle felting is a fun and easy way to make whimsical wool creations. If you need a different and exciting new idea for your child's birthday party, this may be it. I am offering to do CUPCAKE BIRTHDAY PARTIES for children, ages 9 through 15. Under my instruction, each child who is attending the birthday party, will design and create their own needle felted cupcake to take home with them after the party. The cupcakes are colorful and fun to make. All materials and supplies are provided, so all that you need to do is to provide the space to make these fun creations! I have had the opportunity to teach children this craft and the results have been amazing. The kids loved learning how to needle felt with wool and they were especially happy to take something home with them. I am available to do this at your party seven days a week and would be happy to meet with you to discuss the logistics of planning this type of event at your child's 2014 birthday party. My rate is $20.00 per child. There are no other costs involved. Although it may vary somewhat, the children will be able to design and create their cupcakes in about an hour to an hour and a half, which leaves lots of time to enjoy the real cupcakes and games! I look forward to sharing this new and exciting birthday party idea with you! Contact me for more information. Happy Birthday!!! Kathleen Gerdes

We are asking for $100. For pictures and more information, contact Lucy and Jim Ahearne at firstname.lastname@example.org or 865-9063. (01/28)
