Lisa Edge, 642-4446 (01/17) Anyone Interested in Skating on Friday Afternoons? I am writing to invite additional families to join the Friday Afternoon Skating group. Novices and experts welcome. We will be skating at the Family Ice Center on Hat Trick Drive in Falmouth (behind Wal-Mart on Route 1), every Friday afternoon from 1:40-2:40 (including vacation week) until March 23rd. We currently have about 10 families signed up. It would be great fun (and make the cost per family cheaper) to get more families involved. You can pay one lump sum of $109.00 per family to skate all 10 weeks, or you can pay $12.00 per family to drop in any Friday - if you use the drop-in program, please think of all the good financial karma you will receive by actually paying the drop-in fee, thank you. The Family Ice Center is now under new management and the rates for us to reserve the rink have gone up significantly. It now costs $225.00 per hour to rent the rink (last year it cost $175.00 per hour). If we get 20+ families to pay up front for skating we will be able to rent the rink until March 23rd (10 weeks). So if you are considering joining us, please do. If more money is raised than needed to reserve the rink until March 23rd, we will either add additional Fridays or I will refund the additional money equally between the families that paid the lump sum (a benefit for paying the lump sum). If we don’t raise enough to pay through March 23rd, I will reserve the rink for as many weeks as we can afford. I’ll be sure to let you all know what happens. For those that are interested, please make a check out to me, Julia Dodge for a total of $109.00. You can leave your check with Lisa Mainella or Deeda Burgess (there are Skating envelopes in their offices) or give your check to me. Cash is welcome as well, but please do not leave cash in the envelopes, give the cash to me. For drop-ins, please pay me (NOT the rink manager) when you come to skate. Any questions, feel free to email or call me, Julia Dodge -- jdodge5@maine.rr.com 829-3738 Thank you and I hope to see you on the ice. It is lots of fun!
