Seeking Adult Ed Volunteer: I teach very basic math at Portland Adult Education and have a couple of students who could use some more practice with subtracting and multiplying whole numbers. (You don't have to be a "math" person for this-NO Fractions, Decimals or Percents! I'll provide guidance and materials.) One woman is Somali and one grew up in Rockland. Ideally, a volunteer would work with them on Monday and/or Wednesday morning sometime between 9 and 11:30 but something else may be able to be worked out. Adult Ed is a really friendly school community located 1 minute off 295 (Congress St. Exit 5), just over 20 minutes from MWS. For more information, please call me at 865-3290 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We have many other students requesting volunteers in other subjects, too. Thank you. Kate Butler (aka Gemma -MWS '09's mother)
