Willow Pond Farm Apples: This Friday 11/19 will be our last delivery to Merriconeag for the season. Apples delivered to Merriconeag Early Childhood Center on Fridays before 11:30am. Orders must be placed with Willow Pond Farm firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday noon. Please leave payment in envelope in Early Childhood Office PRIOR to delivery.

Merriconeag Community: We are looking for volunteers to help bake pies for the Freeport Community Services Food Pantry. Some apples from the school's antique orchard have been gathered (if you would like to use these) and the Food Pantry is happy to have as many pies as we can donate by next Monday, the 22nd. Pies may be frozen in advance. Sue Mack at Freeport Community Services is happy to have the homebaked pies and thinks they will be well-received for the Thanksgiving meals.
The apples are untreated and unsprayed, as expected for an antique orchard. Adding 2 tsp. lemon juice to the recipe will help as they have been stored for two weeks and are not as tart as fresh off the tree.
