Merriconeag Community: We are looking for volunteers to help bake pies for the Freeport Community Services Food Pantry. Some apples from the school's antique orchard have been gathered (if you would like to use these) and the Food Pantry is happy to have as many pies as we can donate by next Monday, the 22nd. Pies may be frozen in advance. Sue Mack at Freeport Community Services is happy to have the homebaked pies and thinks they will be well-received for the Thanksgiving meals.
The apples are untreated and unsprayed, as expected for an antique orchard. Adding 2 tsp. lemon juice to the recipe will help as they have been stored for two weeks and are not as tart as fresh off the tree. The apples will be left in the Early Childhood building for pick-up. If you have any questions please call Karyn Marden at 781-8249 or email, email@example.com.

Playstands for Sale - Handmade in Maine: My son Caleb attends the parent-toddler group here at Merriconeag and loves the playstands he discovered there, so I decided to start making playstands for children to enjoy in their own homes. I am selling single, pine, unfinished playstands for $70, or a set of 2 for $120. These can be delivered to the school so there are no shipping charges. If you prefer to place a custom order that I use a different wood or a special finish of your choosing, we can work together to set the pricing for this.
This is a significant discount over catalog prices for playstands and you are supporting a local craftsman and fellow Waldorf parent - and best of all, no assembly required!
*Please note that, playstands may take 1-2 weeks to complete, as each playstand is unique and is created just for you at the time you place your order. Order now for the holidays!
If interested, contact Jonathan Knock at (978)290-3382 (cell) or email@example.com - I look forward to hearing from you!
