For ages 8 - 12 (entering grades 2 - 6)
June 23 - 27
9:00 am – 12:00 noon, $225/wk.
Extended Day: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm - $325/wk.
Includes a fun and relaxed afternoon after the
morning Circus Arts Camp.
Circus Arts Camp is a fun-filled, week-long workshop led by John Saccone and other guest artists. Campers will learn and practice the art of juggling, clowning, mime, pyramids, tightrope walking, character study and performance techniques.
John Saccone has been teaching Movement Education at Merriconeag Waldorf School for the past nineteen years. He toured internationally with Tony Montanaro and the Celebration Theater Ensemble. He is a guest artist with the Portland Ballet Company and has performed for twenty four years in their Nutcracker. He is certified in Bothmer gymnastics and is a Spacial Dynamics trainer under Jaimen McMillan. John performs in the duo Reifer & Saccone (www.reiferandsaccone.com).

G 12 to Hermit Island for Marine Biology:
Sun, Sept 14 - Fri, Sept 15. Merriconeag seniors join seniors from other eastern seaboard Waldorf schools for a week of Marine Biology at beautiful Hermit Island.

G 2, 5, & 6 Parent Evenings:
Wed, Sept 17, 7:00 pm.
MS XC Race :
Thurs, Sept 18, MS XC race at Gull Crest Field in Cape Elizabeth. Cape hosts Merriconeag, Greely, Jordan Small (Raymond), and Waynflete. Boys run at 4 pm, girls at 4:30. Come on out and cheer for our middle school teams!
HS XC Race :
Fri, Sept 19. HS XC race at Freeport. Freeport hosts Merriconeag, Poland and York. Boys race at 4:30, girls at 5. We hope to see you there!

The Gift of a Commercial-Free Childhood:

Donation at the door.
Dr. Susan Linn, Director of The Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood & Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School will discuss the commercialization of childhood and ways to protect our children.
