Buttercup Summer Garden
Buttercup Summer Garden July 18 – 22, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon July 25 - 29, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Summer Camp Afternoon Program Note: We have increased interest in an afternoon program for the two weeks of summer camp, July 18 through 29th. We will be designing a relaxed afternoon with lunch, restful activities, art projects, and games. The cost for extending the program to 3:00 will be an additional $50. Campers will need to bring a bag lunch. As we are shaping this afternoon program and the staffing around the age groups, we encourage interested families to contact Kathy Watko, bookkeeper@merriconeag.org, as soon as possible.
This week long program is led by Kam Anderson, one of Merriconeag’s experienced early childhood teachers, on our beautiful 75 acre campus in Freeport, Maine. Buttercup campers are lovingly held in a gentle, nature filled environment that immerses them in magical play and discovery. There is lots of time for crafts, water play, digging in the sandbox, walking the woodland paths and playing games. Kam Anderson has enjoyed being surrounded by nature since her youth. Most of her adult life has been spent being with young children. Presently she is a nursery teacher at Merriconeg. She has been part of the Merriconeag community for over 17 years as both a parent of two children and a teacher. Her interests include handwork, nature study and gardening. She and her family live in Pownal. Register Now: If your child has a medical condition you will also need to download and complete the Medication Administration Release Form.
