Founded 30 years ago, Merriconeag Waldorf School serves some 240 students in

early childhood through high school. Our Early Childhood Center and Grades 1 - 8

are located in Freeport; our high school campus is in New Gloucester.

A Waldorf student learns about the world through an experience of the hands and heart,

as  well as the mind. The curriculum is designed to mirror the inner development of the

growing child, providing an education that is both relevant and satisfying. Waldorf

education fosters a love of learning, a love of self, and a love of humanity.

We invite you to visit us to learn more about our nursery-kindergarten through Grade 12

school. We also offer weekly parent-infant and parent-toddler classes. Contact our

         admissions office today: (207)865.3900, Ext.103, admissionsdirector@merriconeag.org.
