Parent - Toddler

Our parent-toddler classes offer a unique opportunity for parents and toddlers to explore together the wonderful world of the young child. They provide a gentle structure within which toddlers (up to young 3-year-olds) can begin to experience the world outside of the home with the security of a parent nearby.

Under the guidance of a Waldorf-trained teacher, the classes aim to deepen understanding of the developmental stages of early childhood. Through household tasks and simple handwork projects, parents have the opportunity to observe how the teacher transforms these activities into education for the very young child. The classes also provide an opportunity for parents to come together in mutual support.

Our parent-toddler classes meet one morning a week (either Thursday or Friday) from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. for 9 weeks. Each 9-week session costs $350. A sibling over 12 months may be enrolled for an additional $100. A sibling under 12 months is welcome at no extra cost. Parent-Toddler classes are small and are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call the Admission Office to request information about how to register.
