For the past nine summers Merriconeag parents have organized to bring the Circus Smirkus Big Top Tour to our campus, raising funds to support our Movement and Tiered Tuition programs. Last year we welcomed Mary Martin as our new Circus Coordinator. Mary took over for Trace Salter who served as Coordinator for 8 wonderful years. Anchors Away for Atlantis: This year’s Circus Smirkus Big Top Tour continues the tradition of theme-based shows with “Anchors Away for Atlantis”. It’s all hands on deck as we set sail for adventure on the high seas and take the plunge for fathoms of fun. Mark your calendars for Monday, August 4th and Tuesday, August 5th, at Merriconeag Waldorf School in Freeport and bring the whole family as we discover maritime merriment under the briny big top. Join our intrepid crew as we climb the rigging with aquatic aerialists, tumble the surf with amphibious acrobats, even catch and release some fishy jugglers. This nautical production will be ship shape, so hold your breath and ride the wave as Circus Smirkus proudly presents the 2014 Big Top Tour, “Anchors Away For Atlantis” in Freeport!
This annual event, held in early November, celebrates the season with fine crafts, music, food, puppetry and entertainment for the entire family and raises funds to support our annual operations. For that past few years, it has also included an admissions open house.
Tiered Tuition Fundraiser & Silent Auction
The annual spring Tiered Tuition fundraiser enlists the support of not only Merriconeag parents but also the greater Freeport community. The proceeds support the annual Tiered Tuition budget and the endowment fund.

Great news! Merriconeag has raised over $4600 from the sale of the Hannaford gift cards since we began the program last year. Our order for new cards is placed every Thursday morning as long as we meet the minimum order of $1000. Simply take your payment to Lisa in the main office and note new grocery card or reload on the memo line of your check. Is Bill Pay an option at your bank? Consider setting up a recurring transaction to reload your card. Remember to note grocery reload on the memo line. We will let you know when the purchase/reload is done. Contact the Business Office (Ext. 151) with any questions. What a great way to support the school and get your shopping done too!
